The design of the Molière Citations Logo begins with the quintessential fleur de lis of France, in honor of the playwright and actor, Jean-Baptiste Poquelin known by his stage name Molière. In recognition of his fine-tuned sense of ridicule, the American skunk cabbage blossom is grafted on top. Together, they signify the intent of the Molière Citation, to gently acknowledge the foibles of political and celebrity endeavors and point them out to the public at large.
The design of the Molière Celebrations logo also begins with the fleur de lis. In recognition of fighting the good fight, and generally stemming the tide of nonsense and foolishness, the yellow rose is grafted on top. The bright yellow signifies the intent of the Molière Celebration, an accolade to the person or group for supporting the best in our society.
