Today’s Molière Citation is awarded to the Congressional obstructionists who have declared legislative war on the Trump administration and by extension on the will of the American people.

The popular vote has demonstrated that the majority of Americans don’t want the progressive programs this crowd of arrogant dissenters espouse, so it’s time to field and fund candidates to replace all of them who are running for reelection in 2026 and 2028.

As was proven this election season, there is accountability to the voters.

In the meantime, any member of the incoming Congress who signs on to this disruptive plan should be denied committee assignments and other positions of authority in the Senate and House of Representatives.

Loyal opposition is one thing, but outright conspiracy to hobble the incoming administration in its execution of the will of the voters is quite another.

According to this report, it’s not just the “Squad” members, but those in party leadership positions as well.  It reeks of the kind of bluster indulged in by Senator Schumer (thankfully not the future Majority Leader in the Senate) when he slunk across the East Lawn of the Capitol to stand on the steps of the Supreme Court and made personal threats against individual Justices.

Perhaps not in your “rules for thee but not for me” world, but in the political situation you created with your deflection and deception tactics, your actions have consequences. (Rather like former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who initiated and then was hoist on the petard of the “Nuclear Option” some years ago.)
