Molière CELEBRATION award to Rep. Cory Mills, who personally went to Haiti to exfiltrate 23 (of the reported 1000 or more!) American citizens stranded in the midst of the worst and most violent uprising in the island nation’s history.
Since when do we, as a nation, stand by as our citizens are caught up in gang warfare? Although there must be “war games” for this type of challenge carried out by the Department of Defense, and it’s a predictable situation (given the nature of the instability in Haiti), how is it possible for us to be caught so flat-footed?
There must be ways to transport Americans from Haiti right away — it seems there are masses of Haitian refugees landing in Florida every day.
Please find ways to emulate Rep. Cory Mills, and let’s see some appropriate action to rescue Americans stranded in Haiti!.
