Young Thug’s attorney held in contempt, taken into custody in Georgia case.
It’s no wonder that the judiciary branch of government is held in such low regard.

And let’s not get bogged down in the merits of the criminal case against the defendant, although it’s a headline-grabber on its own.

Seriously, the judge is alleged to have engaged in prohibited communications with the prosecution, but he won’t address the underlying issue unless the defense attorney breaks the seal of attorney-client privilege.  The court’s “remedy” is to stick the attorney in the hoosegow for not revealing his source of the judge’s own illegal conduct.

Even the other attorneys in the prosecutor’s office are appalled, and are pulling for Mr. Steel to be released. Then again, it’s Fulton County, GA, where the elected prosecutor (“prosecutrix”?) is one Fani (“FAH-nee” don’t say “Fanny”) Willis, who sets no enviable standard for ethical behavior.

Our namesake would have had a ball with this kind of nonsense in the 17th century, and it’s just as ripe for ridicule today.

Molière Citation is awarded to Judge Ural Glanville, of Fulton County, GA, for his outrageous exercise of non-judicial temperament, with a tip of the hat to Attorney Brian Steel (may he be released from custody soon).
