Now comes Jacob Colchamiro, a Princeton undergraduate Operations Research and Financial Engineering (ORFE) major from the Class of 2025. Jacob has written a thoughtful and cogent column titled “Is Hamas deserving of Princetonians’ solidarity?”
While the title almost gives away the main thrust of the column, Jacob has written a balanced and perceptive view of the origins and effects of the current Israel-Hamas conflict.
This brief elaboration of the situation stands in stark contrast to the muddled “reasoning” behind the anti-Israel (and not coincidentally anti-semitic) demonstrators. He also writes as a current student at Princeton, not as an outside agitator with an antisemitic agenda.
His answer to the question posed in the title is a resounding “NO” — as it should be.
