Title IX laws were created to protect women from discrimination. Now they’re being used to punish acts once seen as ‘completely protected speech.’
Now comes Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law, with an administrative action so twisted and bizarre that we can’t understand why any law firm would want to hire a law graduate educated in this madhouse.
The award of a Molière Citation to the faculty and administration of Pace Law School is (like the institution itself) a “no-brainer.”
The Mission Statement of Molière Citations is set out in some detail on our website, and this is a perfect occasion to remind our readers of this perspective:
Without limitation, a non-exclusive list of examples of the Mission of Molière Citations would include:
- Ridicule hypocrites
- Call out deliberate misnomers
- Draw invidious comparisons
- Disparage unworthy recipients of awards
- Deride public figures who are in need of a reality check
- Scoff
- Demand justice
- Invite Participation
With that in mind, we award today’s Molière Citation to Pace University and its “law school,” which apparently has no respect for either the Rule of Law or the First Amendment Constitutional protection of free speech.
