Citation to Democrats Violating the First Rule of Holes

For those unfamiliar with the “First Rule of Holes,” in short it goes like this:  If you are in a hole, and it’s getting deeper, stop digging.

Somebody ought to warn the AOC/Sanders “loon wing” [tip of the hat to Senator John Kennedy] of the Democratic party that stepping off a private jet to harangue a rally about fighting the oligarchs is a bit over the top.

As Pogo observed in the famous Walt Kelly cartoon:

Who else is on this “train to nowhere,” you might ask.  Here are some suggestions.

NPR for making the ludicrous claim (in a public hearing no less) that they are non-partisan.  Anybody who has tuned in to “your local NPR station” recently knows that to be patently false.

Snopes for the claim that their “fact-checking” show is not slanted.  Not long ago, Snopes dismissed as false the reports that paid protesters were showing up at political rallies and campus events where they were not among the school communities.  Nope, doesn’t happen, says the Snopers – except that anyone can search online for paid gigs to show up at events and get paid to chant slogans and hold up signs conveniently supplied by the folks who pay them.

For all the elite universities provide to anti-oligarchy movements, how long will it take them to realize that they are prominent among the tools of oligarchy in the frame?

And the media supporters who play the role of the chickens defending Col. Sanders as they cheer on the anti-oligarchy.  Perhaps someone would like to tell us all how journalism has fared under every socialist regime in history (not so good, right)?

Today’s Molière Citation is awarded to the extreme wing of the Democratic party, apparently unable to recognize the irony in their elitist anti-establishment protestations.

With a FAFO shout-out to institutions of higher learning and the “traditional” media.
