It doesn’t matter whether the companies that employ the programmers call it a “bug” or a “bias” or something else, there is no AI algorithm without the inherent bias of whoever programmed it.

Worse, every time someone claims that they are going to remove all the biases from a program, what they really  mean is that they are going to replace the existing bias with one of their own.

George Orwell would be proud to see his “1984” predictions come true — or, if not exactly proud, at least vindicated.
