Apparently not content to have violated journalistic norms, the CBS management appears to have also violated the “First Rule of Holes” — When you are in a hole and it’s getting deeper, stop digging.
The “response” CBS posted about its glaring selective editing of the embarrassing answers VP Harris gave on the 60 Minutes “Show” ran true to form — but it seems that the weak statement might well have been written by Harris campaign speechwriters themselves.
CBS says “Same question. Same answer. But a different portion of the response.” [Translation, our values haven’t changed, but our policies are whatever…]
Continuing with the CBS equivalent of “I grew up in a middle class neighborhood where my neighbors mowed their own lawns,” the CBS apologia then pivots to attacking Trump.
Where have we heard that before? (3 guesses, and the first 2 don’t count.)
There’s no dressing tasty enough to make the CBS word salad palatable.
