Just when you think you’ve heard everything about pigs at the public trough, along comes the communications director for long-time Rep. Marci Kaptur, with a tale of greed and lack of taste.

“Just got a call to let me know my student debt has been canceled. This is why elections matter. Thanks @JoeBiden.” wrote Mr. Kamens.

To assure that the constituents back home in Ohio don’t miss the point, he has also posted numerous photos of himself on social media, feeding at various high end troughs and venues, smoking cigars and soaking in hot tubs.

“The median income in OH-09 is $62k,” NRCC Communications Director Jack Pandol posted on X.  That’s compared to Kamen’s listed salary of nearly $90K in Kaptur’s office.

Adding insult to injury, the vast majority of those same Congressional constituents have no student debt because they don’t have college degrees.  It must rankle them to be paying for this “don’t call him a deadbeat” staffer.

Oh, don’t worry about Mr. Kamens; he’ll land on his feet.  According to his LinkedIn profile, he’s held about a dozen cushy political posts in the past 5 years, getting “promoted” from one shop to another.

We’re awarding the Molière Citation to Ben Kamens, with an adjunct award to  his current boss, U.S. Rep Marcy Kaptur.

She’s earned it, for over 40 (!) years in the House of Representatives and virtually no legislative initiatives or laws to her name.

With a competitive election coming up, Ben must be looking over her shoulder to find the next cushy office to occupy.

Congratulations, you two.  You deserve each other — but the constituents of Ohio Congressional District 9 sure don’t.
