Although the death of Molière predated the French Revolution by over 100 years, we have chosen to celebrate the full launch of the Molière Citations satirical website on Bastille Day, July 14, 2024.

We can see many inscrutable political trends taking place around the world at this time.  Elections swinging to the left in France (instead of the expected shift to the right), and in Britain, and perhaps in the other direction in the United States.

Celebrities become conflated with government and corporate leaders, and even appear to exercise influence far beyond their actual knowledge or understanding. 

We are mortified by the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, and hope to utilize gentle humor and commentary in support of non-violent outlets of everyday frustrations and political disappointments.

Please join us as the members of the Molière Citations team continue to use satire and ridicule to bring attention to the news of the day, and also to celebrate the positive actions of those we would emulate.
