Axios’s Alex Thompson Argues Kamala Harris’s Complicity in Biden Cover-Up Is a Weakness: Many Dems Are ‘Ready to Pounce’

Molière Citation to the Washington Press Corps for active participation in the cover-up of President Biden’s failing cognitive abilities.

It’s SO tempting to add “-gate” onto the wilful lies published by the central figures in the White House Press.  Remember, it wasn’t the Watergate burglary that resulted in Nixon’s resignation — it was the cover-up!  What would this be?  “Dementia-Gate?”

How can anyone trust the media again?  For a crowd that nominally is on board with environmental concerns, they are burning up megatons of natural gas for their gaslighting stories.

Let’s pose a First Amendment question, and tie it to the attorney-client privilege.  As the lawyers reading this award will know, if an attorney is aware that the client is about to commit a crime, the privilege is outweighed by the attorney’s duty to report the fact to law enforcement officials.

In the case of the press, is the First Amendment protection outweighed by some duty to tell the truth?  Should there be some disclosure or disclaimer that a published article is not true, but merely opinion.  Yes, of course, they do label as “opinion” many columns, and even post disclaimers that the content is only the opinion of the writer.

But try as you might, there’s no such disclaimer attached to the printed matter or words read from the teleprompter by the talking heads on the radio or TV or the internet.  Is there perhaps some implied warranty that non-disclaimed content is the truth?

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves in speculation.

There are plenty of facts available on which the Molière Citation is based.  There’s not even any plausible denial that the bulk of the WH press corps has known of Biden’s shortcomings for a minimum of the current year.

While we’re at it, let us take the plunge along with Axios’s Alex Thompson: VP Harris is right in the thick of the deception.

We suggest that it would be unwise for anyone to get hopes up for a Harris candidacy.

Sure, there would be lots of media support to pretend she doesn’t have high negatives, or that she has any record of getting votes, or that her word salad statements are really profound, or that she somehow did a great job as border Czar, or that she didn’t just embarrass herself by talking like she came from the ‘hood, or any number of other BS stories about her prowess in any endeavor you can name.

But the same media sources have shot their wad, gaslighting everyone about Biden’s record and competence.

Why should anybody buy into another con job?

Fool me once, shame on you.

Fool me twice, shame on me.

You might as well choose Karine Jean-Pierre.  She’s got the same level of credibility (and culpability).

The coveted Molière Citation is awarded to the Washington Press Corps at large, for having destroyed any semblance of credibility on the political scene.
