Pronoun dysphoria spreads into the NY borough of Queens, where the constituents may know how to tell a woman from a man, but the Congressional Representative is having trouble deciding what pronouns to use (if any).
We’ve already issued a Molière Celebration to Riley Gaines, so we’ll reiterate our respect for her efforts to protect young women athletes from the predations of male competitors who can’t make it in the sports world of other males. Even Riley Gaines jumped into the circuit to ponder the absence of AOC’s pronouns in The Patriot Journal.
Today, the Molière Citation goes to AOC (everyone knows this former bartender by initials, but not necessarily by gender). Demonstrating the fluidity of gender assignment and periodic reassignment, we are advised that the formerly “she/her” politician has abandoned the pretense of PC gender identification in favor of the tried and false practice of hiding in the basement when asked for the definitive answer to a political question.
We’re still stuck trying to figure out the gender of a public figure who was born a female, later claimed to be “she/her” (whatever that means, especially if you can’t define “woman”), and then is simply…. What?!?
We can only speculate, but maybe no longer being “she/her,” AOC can no longer claim to be held back by not running on the DEI ticket — or maybe will just not be discriminated against in the future.
We would welcome feedback from our readers, as well as suggestions for other Citations and Celebrations — there’s plenty to go around!
